Our family headed out today to get our holiday tree, our first as a big family. We went to the cut down your own tree farm that is 2 miles from our house. Ahh.....living in the country. The babies were bundled up in their snowsuits and new winter hats (thanks Nonna!) and off we went.
It was ok :-) The babies could hardly even move at all with the snowsuits and were not super impressed with all the people and noise. Poor Cate even cried a little when she saw all the strangers. I don't think either one cracked a smile the whole time we were out of the house. There was just too many people and a lot of noise from the saws and tree shakers.
Mike and I got quite the workout though. Each of us carried a baby and went walking to find this year's perfect tree. We found one - talk and skinny works best for our house (which we found doesn't equal light). We cut it down, put it on the tarp. We each had an arm full of baby and an hand full of tree. The biceps were burning after that!
