Beach Party

We took Alexander and Catherine to the beach today for the first time.  We went to Lake Elmo Park Reserve near Nonna and Papa's house.  The park has a very kid friendly, man made, sand "lake" for swimming.  It was early in the season and we got there right after it opened, so we had the place to ourselves.  They both were really apprehensive of the water and only wanted to play with the sand - as long as they didn't get any part of them submerged.  So, swimming was out, but they had a really fun time after getting a little used to the beach experience.
