Our family headed up to Duluth on October 7th to stay for three nights. It was so much fun. For the first time the kids weren't super afraid of the pool, although we still had to hold them pretty close for them to feel comfortable. (Swim lessons start in January!) They also loved sitting on the top step going into the hot tub and put their feet in the warm water. It was great, Mike and I could take turns sitting in the hot tub for a few minutes - wonderful! When Alex and Cate were napping, we put our coats and hats on and settled in on the patio to read and drink wine. We headed to our favorite restaurants, went for walks, saw the bridge, and looked at the trains. Since it was close to Alex and Cate's 18 month birthday (9/21/12), we thought this would be a great time to get some pictures taken. Our photographer was wonderful, but the morning we picked was pretty cold and windy so the kids weren't super comfortable. Still, we got some great shots. Can't wait to head up for our annual family holiday trip between xmas and new year!
