Happy Halloween!

We headed over to Nonna and Papa's after work to have dinner and go trick or treating.  Very convenient they only live 3 minutes from 3M.  We ate some spaghetti and got Alex and Cate dressed in their lion and tiger costumes.  They thought it was just ok.  They were more interested in playing with toys than leaving to go outside in the dark.  We put on their candy bags (thanks great uncles Mark and Brian), tried to get some pictures, and headed to four of the neighbors.  They loved knocking on the doors, but turned away when someone actually answered.  By the third house, they did hold out their bags for candy, but were mostly unimpressed with the whole process.  Nonna and Papa's neighborhood is very big into decorating for every holiday and Halloween is no exception.  They did like the giant inflatables and lights in the yards.

We went back to the house and Cate was hanging out playing with toys.  But Alex found out that handing out candy was the best thing ever.  He stood at the screen door (with the screen/window out) and he was the perfect height to wait for kids with candy in his outstretched hands.  He dumped it in the candy bags, gave seconds and sometimes thirds, and then waved goodbye.  He would have stayed there all night if we let him.

I see that candy.
