We were released from the labor and delivery room about 5 pm and went to the nursery (across the hall - small hospital) to see Cate. Alex and Cate spent some diaper only naked time in the warmer together.
First time together since 1:35 pm when Alex was born.
We then headed to room 134 and got settled around 6:30 pm. Rachel took a quick bath to clean up (and was feeling pretty good) and then we started to spread the news!
Rachel's parents (Nonna and Papa) visited around 8 pm and then Mike's parents (Grandma and Grandpa) and grandma (Gigi) came about 9 pm to meet Alexander. Catherine spent the first night being watched in the nursery due to her small pneumothorax by a wonderful team of nurses (but got to visit Rachel for an hour at 9:30 pm). Alexander had a little jaundice and spent some time on the billi blanket.

We spent the next couple of days relaxing, holding our babies, having visitors and trying to get some sleep. The hospital had a menu and room service - not too bad for "hospital food." Rachel spent time trying to nurse, taking baths and pumping away.
